If you’re looking for a way to get to work or just to improve your fitness and improve your mental well-being, then cycling might be for you. LifeCycle UK is a charity which believes that cycling has a central role to play in improving individual lives, local communities and the environment.
The charity’s Bike Back Project makes affordable, refurbished bicycles available to people in Bristol.
This video from LifeCycle’s Bike Back Project shows how it transforms the lives of prisoners whilst helping more local people to get cycling.
You can donate a bike through the Bike Back scheme or buy a bike.
All bikes are given a full safety check and a ‘Gold’ service by one of their qualified mechanics before being sold. During COVID-19, most bike sales are being made via eBay, with collection from their Bristol workshop. For a limited time only, they also have some fab new bikes for sale too.
They also offer bike servicing and are open during lockdown providing an essential service.
Discounted bikes for people on low incomes
Bristol and South Gloucestershire residents who are looking for work or on a low income can get £100 off one of our refurbished bikes, plus a free lock and lights.
