Ethical savings and affordable loans for St Monica Trust colleagues.
To help you during the ongoing cost of living crisis, St Monica Trust is continuing our Money@Work partnership with Great Western Credit Union (GWCU) to give our staff access to simple savings and affordable borrowing through your payroll.
How GWCU #DoGoodWithMoney
Great Western Credit Union (GWCU) is a mutual, financial cooperative, owned and operated by its members, providing ethical savings and fair loans to the people of Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset since 1999.
GWCU offers banking services in a way that is fair, inclusive and strengthens our local communities and economies. Together, savers and borrowers create a pool of money that enables us to benefit all in our communities. The credit union actively supports financial inclusion in areas that are traditionally underserved by the mainstream market, and badly served by others.
Members are the only shareholders, so any profit made is reinvested into the business or shared with members as dividends.
Loans@Work
– loans from £100 to £15,000
If you need a loan for any reason: an unexpected expense, debt consolidation, home improvements or a new set of wheels, you may be able to access affordable loans and repay through your payroll.
If eligible, St Monica Trust employees can borrow from £100 to £15,000 at a discounted rate compared to other GWCU products.
See how Loans@Work could work for you:
Repaying through your payroll takes the stress out of monthly money management, giving you more control of your finances and helping you build your financial wellbeing.
GWCU’s payroll loans have higher acceptance rates, fast decisions, and lower interest rate than many other lenders. Repaying sustainably can also help you improve your credit score.
