Being creative has many rewards and can have particular benefits during stressful and challenging times.
Because of this, Rachael Dutton has set up a ‘Creative Club’ for everyone at the Trust – to inspire us all to get creative. We know we have lots of creative colleagues out there and we’d love to see your work. It doesn’t have to be expert, the only criteria is that it’s creative.
All of your creative work will appear on our Art Wall see linked below:
https://www.stmonicatrust.org.uk/our-connected-community/join-the-peoples-creative-club
Send your creative work, which could be a painting, photograph, poem, piece of prose, knitting, sculpture, colouring in – anything, to: webanddigital@stmonicatrust.org.uk
See the flyer and some early submissions below:
We really hope lots of residents, staff and volunteers (and their families too if they like!) find a way and a means to get more creative, and send in examples of their creations for our online ‘Art Wall’ and Twitter.
We’ve already had shares of wonderful creations from two staff following the wee piece about the Club in last week’s Our Focus:
Hero Bears from Sarah Abbotts, Senior Support Worker (Nursing)
“I saw the message in Inside Focus about creativity and thought I would share a couple of my bears. I’ve found making them to be a great therapy over the past few weeks when not working 🙂 I’ve made 9 so far !!.
I’m based in Encore at Sandford and the purple bear now lives in the lounge there, a nod to all my fantastic workmates who do such a brilliant job
Oh and a little tribute to Colonel Tom too ;)”
My dog Alfie from Emma Bown, Colleague Events Administrator
