It may have been Blue Monday this week, but what a beautiful day it was! The only thing that was blue about it was the colour of the sky and that was what inspired the Laundry Team to get outside together and take a walk.

In the words of Jana our Laundry Supervisor “Early today I was chatting with my colleague about the weather, how nice it is today and we are missing our Friday exercise classes! So I asked Vanda if she would like to go for a walk on the lunch break and then I asked other team members.

Then they started pulling out as its too cold and I read Emma’s email about beating the Blue Monday blues, so I thought that’s it, we are definitely going ! I went to the kitchen to pick up some fruit and we had a nice walk around the gardens, even to places we never went to!

Everyone enjoyed the walk and we will definitely go again soon! All it takes is 10 minutes and you feel much better for rest of the day.”

That’s the spirit! We hope that Laundry will make their team walks a regular occurrence and inspire other teams too.
